Friday Night Mas to Take a Strategic Pause for 2025 Carnival Season

Toronto, ON – [May 20, 2025] — After three incredible years of unforgettable energy, culture, and celebration, Friday Night Mas, one of the most highly anticipated events of the Toronto Carnival (formerly known as Caribana), will not be held in 2025.

This difficult decision was made due to a range of logistical challenges that have impacted the ability to execute the event to the high standard that our supporters have come to expect. While we explored every possible avenue to bring Friday Night Mas to life this year, it became clear that pausing would be the most responsible and respectful course of action for our patrons, performers, and partners.

Friday Night Mas has grown into a staple of Toronto Carnival weekend, celebrated for its vibrant music trucks, night-mas, and high-energy spectacle. As we take this pause, we remain committed to refining the experience and are already working toward a return in 2026.
